What is included?
This resource aims to support primary schools to provide positive playground experiences and learning opportunities outside the classroom. It has been developed to support schools with encouraging young people to be physically active and learn both in and through playground games.
Fun and inspiring games are demonstrated on a DVD, and instructions on how to play and
a series of adaptations are included on a set of 22 cards. A CD containing specially commissioned playground music including four action rhymes and a story-telling piece completes the resource.
Playground games are ideal for supporting learning outside the classroom, raising young people’s confidence in how and where they learn and support the ‘Every Child Matters’ outcomes of being healthy and enjoying and achieving.
